Time for another fantastic challenge over at Mom’s Crazy Cooking. This month she gave us the ‘task’ to find fudge recipes. I know…poor us. I found a great website called Cookin Canuck who took the basic fudge recipe (chocolate and condensed milk) and mixed in two of my favourite things in the world, sea salt and nutella.
You should hear strains of this song, running through your head right about now.
And now for the main event.
In a bowl over simmering water combine; 1 (14 oz. ) can sweetened condensed milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 8 oz. high-quality bittersweet (60% cacao) chocolate chips, 1 cup Nutella, room temperature and 3 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature, cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
While this is melting into the world’s best cure for whatever ails you butter a 9×9 baking dish. I actually got a lovely new one which my sweet, darling, much-loved husband promptly made ‘non-stick’ by cutting up this lovely concoction.
Here’s what you’re looking for. Feel free to help yourself to some right now. Noone’s watching and you want to make sure it’s good-right?
Pour into your prepared pan.
Sprinkle with sea salt and let set in the fridge.
Have small child to fend off while you’re trying to take a photo.
Jiggle the camera a bit more protecting the fudge from both small child and large husband.
Give up on great photo and just enjoy.
Sea salt and nutella sound like a great combination!Peanut Butter Fudge
I could eat Nutella straight out of the jar. Good job fending off the child and husband!
ha! I'm glad I'm not the only one who often has to beat people away from the food before I take a picture. . .or take a picture with a bite taken out of it! I'd love it if you stopped by and checked out my microwave fudge (#55)-Krystal @ recipesofacheapskate.blogspot.com
