Does anyone else have leftover turkey? Here is a dish that will use up (uniquely) the turkey and the potatoes that are lurking in the fridge.
I started off with a buttered lasagne pan.
I didn’t actually have any leftover potatoes so I started off by making 2 1/2 cups worth.
I chopped-up 2 cups of turkey (I like a mix of white and dark).
I mixed 1/4 cup butter, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/4 cup crumbled bacon and added it to my potatoes.
Add a layer of lasagne noodles.
Topped them with my luscious potatoes and my chopped turkey.
Another layer of noodles.
Top with a layer of cheddar cheese and more crumbled bacon.
Bake until bubbly (about 30 minutes at 330) and enjoy a bit more carb coma. Happy, happy, day.
Wow, I never would've thought to put that all together, but it looks delish!Hey, what on earth is that heavenly looking soup up on your title picture? I tried searching for it but as I'm not sure what I'm looking for, I didn't find it. :)Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
That looks amazing! We didn't do a turkey. My mom made lasagna instead… Weird but yummy!
Lasagne is a good idea anytime :-)The soup is a fun faux, creamy soup and can be found here:http://jane-adventuresindinner.blogspot.com/2011/11/you-might-remember-these.html?m=0Happy eating!
That looks AMAZING.. YUMMMY.. LOVE IT!!!
Yep, I have some leftover turkey as well. Great idea for the leftovers. Thanks for sharing at DIYbyDesign.
This looks totally incredible…an updated sort of shepherd's pie. Anything with cheese and potatoes is right up my alley! Thanks for your kind advice to follow my bliss. That's what I'm trying to do…at least I think so! Wishing you all good things in 2012.
Oh yum! This is totally not what I thought it would be, but what a fantastic and unique idea! I thought you'd be throwing perogies into a pan and covering it with lasagna type stuff. This is MUCH better. I just love perogies.. this must be ridiculous. Love your site, I'm your newest follower.
Hmm.. I didn't realize this was your site. I've been following you for a while, did you do some blog decorating?
Thanks, Jane! I think I may be making that soup in the near future. 🙂
I'll be featuring YOU tomorrow night at my {wow me} wednesday party. You were one of the top viewed links from last week's party! 🙂 Hope you are having a wonderful new years!Ginger @ gingersnapcrafts.com
