Everytime I think of these brownies I’m reminded of one of Small One’s favourite books “Moo, Baa, La La La”
Moo Baa La La La
I can literally say this book in my sleep.
I even have the interactive app on my phone.
It might be losing some of its charm.  Maybe a brownie will help πŸ™‚
This recipe is incredibly easy but pretty enough to serve for company.
They would even be great as a Valentine treat.
Simply take: 1/2 cup butter and cream with 2 cups sugar.
Beat in 4 eggs.
Fold in 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of cocoa.
Taste to double check everything is good-this step is totally optional.
Now for another layer.
Beat together; 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1 lb. cream cheese.
Don’t fret about any lumps, everything will work out just fine.
Place half of the brownie mixture in a buttered 9×11 pan.
Pour cheesecake over the brownie layer and dot the top with gobs of the remaining amount of chocolate.
Now you see why that book is running through my head.
These are now called “Holstein Brownies”.
Bake at 330 for 30-35 minutes or until the cheesecake is just set.
Now, what you really should do is let this cool completely before cutting.
That does not happen in our house.
The hoards converged in the kitchen as soon as the pan was out of the oven.
Which leads to…less that perfect squares.
A bit of a messy pan but a very happy household πŸ™‚

Happy eating
