How was your week?
I have enjoyed every second of my holiday and the time that I was ab le to snag with small one and my husband.  It’s amazing but we hadn’t really had a chance to just hang out since the house basically got rebuilt and this was just what we needed.
Have you enterred my giveaway?
You have until noon today to possibly win a fabulous treat from Gracious May.
I unpacked yet more boxes and was able to find small one’s Easter books and bunny bag.

Got the most amazing treat in the mail from Ann (Sutton Place).
Yes.
These are the very most stunning tea towels you have ever seen AND a perfect little pillow filled with lavendar.

Went on a bit of a shoe shopping binge.

Played with a n ew cinnamon roll recipe that uses A LOT of bacon and maple.
I’ll tweak it and share really soon.

After a ham dinner I made my favourite soup with the bone.  Simple place (in a slow cooker); 2 carrots, 1 clove garlic, 1 medium onion, 2 ribs of celery, 1/2 tsp. herbes de provence and 2 tsp. thyme.  Add you ham bone and whatever leftover ham you have.  Top with 5 cups of chicken broth and 2 cups of split yellow peas.  Let cook for 6 hours on high.  Remove the bone and puree the soup to the consistency you prefer (I like mine with some chunks in it still).  Taste and correct for salt and pepper.
Have the very best week and I hope you come back tomorrow for the next reveal day of our Secret Recipe Club.
Oh!  Did you know you still have a chance to add you projects to my Saturday party?  Check out yesterday’s post (there’s also a fun soup there too).
