The other day instead of getting the usual bills in the mail I received a special treat from one of the best bloggy friend you could ever hope to have-ArtsyGirl.
In the package was a bag of lemon and chive pasta with a lovely note C:
Well, this couldn’t be a regular recipe with a surprise like this, so I put my thinking cap on.
How about a two minute pasta toss that looks like a million dollars?
I had three minutes while the pasta was cooking so I took a pretty platter and got moving.
I’ve got: 1clove finely, crushed garlic, 1/4 cup chevre, zest and juice of 1 lemon, 1 tsp fresh pepper, 1/2 cup grated parmesan and…
What am I pouring over the top?
I’ve got a very small bottle of white truffle oil. This is oil that has been infused with truffles.
It is earthy and rich and it’s tempting to maybe drink it but I won’t.
This is a special ingredient that is worth hunting up.
Oddly, my local grocery store carries it.
I’m using 2 T.
Add in my hot pasta and toss everything together.
Top with more parm and perhaps another drizzle of that lovely oil.
This is a terrific dinner on its own but even more special with a bit of fish and a nice green salad.
We really put on the dog the night we had this and I seered scallops in browned butter.
Oh…and there might have been coconut cream pie but I’ll show you that one another day.
